About Akialoa Wellness

When we first settled in Hawaii, our home was nestled on Akialoa Road, named after the enchanting Hawaiian honeycreeper known for its strikingly long, decurved bill and vibrant hues. The Akialoa bird, measuring 7 1/2 inches in length, flaunted an olive-colored back and a bright yellow underside. Tragically, this magnificent species was last spotted in 1969 near Kokee in the Alakai Swamp of Kauai, and has since been declared extinct.

 

Choosing the name 'Akialoa Wellness' was a natural decision for us. It serves as a constant reminder of our deep connection to nature and our responsibility to safeguard it. Nature is not just our environment; it is the wellspring of our health, beauty, and prosperity. Through it, we tap into our intrinsic wellness and reveal our true potential.
